Binga Beach Resort recently had the pleasure of hosting a group from The Philippines Red Cross, providing them with free room and board to help assist their efforts.
Based in Puerto Princesa City, the Philippines Red Cross in Palawan were in the area for a local blood donation initiative and Binga Beach Resort took good care of this important group of front-line workers.
Elmar, V. Sadang, Maricel Sheena Jade Danque, Rosalie B. Barairo, Dollethonecel Santos and others successfully secured over 30 blood donations on their first day near Binga.
The Medical Technologists and Phlebotomists explained that the Philippines no longer has private blood banks supplying hospitals with blood for life-saving transfusions and that their work is today more important than ever.
A healthy individual can donate blood every three months. Donating 450cc does not cause any ill effects or weakness as the human body has the capacity to compensate with new fluid and the whole process of blood donation only takes 30 minutes.
Binga Beach Resort is proud to be associated with the work of the Philippines Red Cross and encourage people across the country to donate to this important cause.
